Current Government guidelines are clear in minimising non-essential travel and public interactions, especially for people who are considered ‘at risk’ of complications due to other existing health conditions.
Maintaining medical appointments is essential for maintaining your visual health and ensuring that any eye condition left untreated does not become sight threatening.
If you are:
- considered of a higher risk profile (e.g. over 70, or have other health complications) OR
- you do not wish to attend a clinic for other reasons OR
- are self-isolating / have symptoms of Covid-19.
then we strongly advise you to have a video consultation as a minimum, so we can ensure symptoms and risks to your vision are minimal.
When visiting a practice with someone else please ensure that, unless the second person is a carer/translator/chaperone, that ONLY the patient enter the premises and that the second person wait outside or it the car.
